Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 7 g dry yeast
- 250 ml warm milk
- 80 g sugar
- 80 g melted butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 200 g apricot jam (or plum jam)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
- Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a little sugar and let sit for 5–10 minutes.
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Add yeast mixture, egg yolks, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Knead into a soft dough and let rise for 1 hour.
- Divide dough into equal pieces.
- Flatten each piece and place 1 tsp jam in the center.
- Seal tightly and shape into balls.
- Place side by side in a greased baking dish.
- Brush with melted butter and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
